Fwd: Good Morning, Charles

Untitled document "The Lord bless you and keep you; The
Lord make His face shine upon you, And
be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His
countenance upon you, And give you
peace."'
        ( Numbers 6:24-26 *NKJV )

Dear Charles,
Often we hear someone speaking of "good luck" when
something good happens to them. They even think that
they are creating their own blessings in their lives as well.
How very wrong they are indeed!

    As Christians we know better, for it is written;
Do not be
deceived, my beloved brethren. Every good gift
and every perfect gift is from above, and comes
down from the Father of lights, with whom there
is no variation or shadow of turning.
                                                (James 1:16-17)

Also God's Blessings are not only given to us in this life,
but in the life to come as well!  Therefore Charles, never
forget the greatest blessing of them all, that being Eternal
Life with God in Heaven!   A blessing that we will receive
through our Lord, Jesus Christ!

So Charles, always give thanks and praise to your
Heavenly Father, and when you pray make sure you are;
Giving thanks always for all things to God the
Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Amen.                               ( Ephesians 5:20 )

Fwd: Good Morning, Charles

NO ONE EVER HAS SEEN GOD; BUT IF WE LOVE
ONE ANOTHER, GOD LIVES IN US, AND HIS LOVE IS
MADE COMPLETE IN US. WE KNOW THAT WE LIVE IN
HIM, AND HE IN US, BECAUSE HE HAS GIVEN US OF
HIS SPIRIT.
                   ( 1 JOHN 4:12-13 *NIV )

Dear Charles,
When we open our hearts and invite God into our lives,
a wonderful thing begins to  happen!  The Apostle Paul
stated it this way;
THEREFORE, IF ANYONE IS IN CHRIST,
HE IS A NEW CREATION; THE OLD HAS GONE, THE
NEW HAS COME!    ( 2 CORINTHIANS 5:17 )

As many of you know, this is when we become the
person that God intended us to be.  It is also when we
become filled with;
THE PEACE OF GOD, WHICH
TRANSCENDS ALL UNDERSTANDING.
( PHILIPPIANS 4:7 )

So Charles, JUST AS YOU RECEIVED CHRIST JESUS
AS LORD, CONTINUE TO LIVE IN HIM, ROOTED AND
BUILT UP IN HIM, STRENGTHENED IN THE FAITH
AS YOU WERE TAUGHT, AND OVERFLOWING IN
THANKFULNESS.               ( COLOSSIANS 2:6 )

Now my friend, may; THE GRACE OF THE LORD JESUS
CHRIST BE WITH YOUR SPIRIT.   Amen.

Gas Conservation Tips

It is important for you to remember that in addition to gas costs, weather dramatically affects natural gas bills.

When temperatures drop, you use more fuel to heat your home and business, and energy conservation becomes very important.

By following a few easy tips, you can save money on your gas bill:

  • Read your gas meter and monitor your gas usage.
  • By reading the meter, you can gauge how fast you are using gas and can make adjustments to stay within budget.
  • Keep a log of your weekly consumption.
  • Adjust your gas usage. For example, if halfway into the month you are nearing your budget limit for gas, you can experiment with lower gas heating thermostat settings to see if comfort is adequate while reducing gas usage.
  • Have your gas furnace cleaned and serviced by a professional for greater efficiency.
  • Clean or replace air filters on heating or cooling systems.
  • Set back your thermostat by 5 or 10 degrees when sleeping or when your house is empty for four hours or longer.
  • Set the thermostat control setting for your furnace no higher than 68 degrees F during the heating season.
  • Set your water heater temperature to 120 degrees F. or to the “warm” setting.
  • Set your water heater temperature control to the pilot position when your home is vacant for two days or longer.
  • Place nonflammable insulation or nonflammable pliable materials in gaps around pipes, ducts, fans or other items that enter the attic or basement from a conditioned space.
  • Close dampers on unused fireplaces. If not used for long periods, add insulating material around perimeter of damper.
  • Add insulation to attic or basement doors or access panels.
  • Caulk or tape any leak in ductwork of cooling or heating systems.
  • Tighten or plug leaking joints in hot water or steam pipes.
  • Raise shades to allow sunlight to enter your home during the day. Close shades on overcast days and at night when no warm sunlight is shining.

Energy Saving Tips

Natural gas can help you save money and the environment when you follow these easy, simple tips.

  • Control your thermostat. Keep it at 68 F during the heating season when you’re at home, but lower it five to 10 degrees when you go to work, leave the house for more than four hours and before you go to bed. Each degree you set the thermostat higher than 68 F uses approximately three percent more energy. A programmable thermostat can do the thinking for you and help save you up to 20 percent on your bill.
  • Get to know your gas meter. Read your meter weekly and monitor your gas usage to stay within your budget. If you’re using too much, experiment with lowering your thermostat settings.
  • Sometimes the easiest things are the easiest to forget, clean or replace your air filters once a month.
  • Water heating accounts for an average of 14 percent of utility bills. Set your water heater to 120 F or to the “warm” setting, no higher. Also, set your water heater temperature control to the pilot position when you leave your house for two days or more.
  • Caulk those windows and weather-strip your doors.
  • Love your furnace. Have it cleaned and serviced every year by an HVAC licensed professional for higher efficiency.
  • Don’t open the oven door until dinner is done. You lose 20 percent of your heat every time you do.
  • Close off heat registers in unused rooms. But don’t shut down more than one-third of the total heat registers – that forces the furnace to cycle more frequently.
  • Fix leaky taps immediately. A hot water drip wastes a full tank of water every week.
  • Protect your pipes and ducts from heat loss. An average older home loses 25 percent of its heat into the attic and crawl spaces. Place nonflammable insulation or nonflammable pliable material in gaps around pipes and ducts in your attic and basement to increase the energy efficiency of your house.

Answer the Door

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"...Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning"
(Psalm 30:5, NKJV)

TODAY'S WORD from Joel and Victoria

When you wake up each morning, God sends you a special delivery of joy. It's like it comes knocking at the door of your heart every day. The problem is that some people never answer the door. It's right there, month after month, year after year saying, "Come on! Let me in! You can be happy! You can cheer up! You can enjoy your life!" The way to answer the door is to get up and choose an attitude of faith and expectancy by declaring that "today is going to be a good day." When you start the day like that, you are choosing to receive the gift of joy that God sent to you.

Today, make up your mind to answer the door to joy! Get up every morning and say, "Father, thank You for another beautiful day. I'm going to be happy. I'm going to enjoy this day because You are faithful. I'm going to brighten someone else's life. I am choosing to receive Your gift of joy and passing it on to others because I love You, and I know that I am called for Your purposes!"

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father, thank You for the gift of joy every single morning. I choose right now to set my focus and heart on You. Help me, by Your Holy Spirit, to put You first each and every day so that I can know Your love and joy in everything I do in Jesus' name. Amen.

— Joel & Victoria Osteen

Beloved, if our heart does not condemn
us, we have confidence toward God.
And whatever we ask we receive from
Him, because we keep His commandments
and do those things that are pleasing in
His sight.
         ( 1 John 3:21-22 *NKJV )

Dear Charles,
Now would you change the way that you live if you
knew that God knew all of your thoughts, heard all of
your words, and knew all the desires of your heart?  Well
Charles, He does for it is written;
The Lord knows
the thoughts of man That they are futile.
For He also; knows the secrets of the heart. .
        ( Psalms 94:11 ) & ( Psalms 44:21 )

Now when we try our best to have pure thoughts and
desires and follow the Commandments put forth by
God, we often get our prayers answered.  For it is
written;
The effective, fervent prayer of a
righteous man avails much. ( James 5:16 )

So Charles, when you speak be careful of the words you
use, and keep them soft and sweet.  For we are to
always encourage one another and build
each other up,  Most of all, always think before you speak so
that;
The words of my mouth and the meditation
of my heart be acceptable in Your sight O Lord ,
my strength and my Redeemer.
  ( 1 Thessalonians 5:11 )  ( Psalms 19:14 )

Now my friend, have a Great Week and may it be filled with
blessings indeed!   Amen.

Why God Laughs

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"He Who sits in the heavens laughs..."
(Psalm 2:4, AMP)

TODAY'S WORD from Joel and Victoria

Have you ever imagined God laughing in the heavens? Think about it for a moment. Right now, God is on the throne. He's not mad. He's not worried about the economy. He's not upset with us. No, God is full of joy and laughing on the throne. It goes on to tell us in Psalm 37 that He's laughing because "He can see the destruction of the enemy coming." In other words, the reason God laughs is because He knows the end of the story. He knows the final outcome. The good news is that you and I win. God always causes us to triumph!

Imagine watching the Super Bowl when you already know the outcome. You already know who is going to win. No matter how far behind the winning team falls, no matter how bad it looks for them, you wouldn't get upset. You wouldn't be worried. Why? Because you've got inside information. You know the final outcome. That's what God is saying to us today. When it gets tough and things don't look like they're going to work out, we know that with God we are on the winning team! Today, you can laugh with Him knowing that He has favor, strength and victory in store for your future!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father in heaven, I choose to rest and trust in You. Thank You for bringing victory in every area of my life. Give me opportunities today to share Your joy and love with the people around me. In Jesus' name, amen.

— Joel & Victoria Osteen
